P.E.P. BENEFITS AND STANDARD FEATURES:
The P.E.P. is a combination diesel engine and fire pump controller. By integrating both controllers into one package, the overall size and complexity of the system have been greatly reduced, allowing the entire package to be located on a smaller mounting base. This is a benefit in “tight” pump rooms where space is limited.
The integrated package requires significantly less time and material for the contractor to install.
The engine/controller wiring harness is pre-wired to a circular locking connector that simply plugs into the side of the controller.
Many times field engine connections are not correct which can delay or postpone startup.
The only field wiring connections are 120 VAC input and alarms.
All field connections enter the top portion of the cabinet through pre-punched conduit holes to terminal blocks.
The pre-punched conduit holes greatly reduce the possibility of metal chips and cutting oil falling on electrical components resulting in possible failure.
Designed specifically for use with National Diesel Corp. engines.
UL Listed/FM Approved controller/engine assembly.
Lower cost due to the elimination of redundant components.
High intensity LED display for ease of viewing, long life and reliability.
LED display test on power up, and by means of push button.
Diagnostic LED’s on inputs and outputs for ease of troubleshooting.
Pressure switch simulation push button.
Engine run simulation button to test controller without starting the engine (starter must be disconnected).
All pc boards have plug-in connectors for easy removal and replacement.
Built-in system pressure gauge/transducer. Includes battery backup to keep recorder functioning in the event of control power failure. LED is provided to indicate low battery or power is lost to the recorder.
Electronic pressure switch. (No Mercury) Includes status LED’s for Excitation Voltage (gauge connected), Relay Status, Caution (start/stop settings reversed).
Weekly exerciser includes a supercap for a min. of 24 hour backup in the event of power loss.
Many features previously supplied as options are now standard. These include:
Pressure switch start delay, adj. 0-15 sec.
Auto. stop, field selectable to enable or disable.
Audible alarm if left in Manual for more than 15 minutes without the engine running.
AC power loss, field selectable to enable or disable engine start or audible alarm. Includes adjustable time delay, 0-90 sec.
Remote start input.
Lockout input.
Provision to allow one additional pump house alarm to be non-mutable. (Normally all optional pump house alarms can be silenced)
